Last week Microsoft released Touch Pack for Windows 7. So if you have an All-in-One PC that is multi-touch enabled you can download this pack here. Multi-touch is one of the strong selling features in Windows 7, but was only available through OEM. Now you can get it for free.
The Windows 7 Touch Pack offers 3 games and 3 Microsoft Surface Apps. It’s pretty cool, you got to check them out if you own one of those All-in-One PC with touch screen.
Three games are Blackboard, Garden Pond and Rebound
Blackboard is an intricate game of physics in which you solve a puzzle by creating a fanciful machine on a blackboard. You’ll test your mind as you use gears, fans, seesaws, and other objects to propel the balloons and balls toward the light bulbs and victory.
Garden Pond takes place in the serene Japanese water gardens of Garden Pond. Gently guide your origami pieces to peaceful areas on the pond or direct them through a challenging obstacle course.
Microsoft Rebound is a game in which you use your fingertips to move Tesla balls with an electrical field between them to try and catapult a metal game ball into your opponent’s goal. Play against the computer or challenge a friend and battle it out in the electronic court for the championship of the Microsoft Rebound circuit.
Three applications are Surface Globe, Collage and Lagoon
Microsoft Surface Globe is a hands-on, world-exploration application based on Microsoft Bing Maps content and technology. You can explore the Earth as a flat 2-D map or as an immersive 3-D experience!
Surface Lagoon is both a screen saver and an interactive water simulation, complete with a meditative rock arrangement and playful, shy fish! Use your fingers to manipulate the water and have the school of fish respond.
Microsoft Surface Collage enables you to arrange your own photos and effortlessly save the arrangement as an impressive, designed desktop background.
There you have it, unfortunately we don’t have a device that we can test those applications out, but it sure looks pretty amazing. You definitely don’t want to miss them if you have a device that has multi-touch enabled.
