How to enable 3D Maps on iPhone 3Gs/4 iOS6 Beta Firmware with 3DEnabler deb

Shortly after the announcement of iOS6 and all of the great new features it will bring when it is released this fall, it was revealed that Apple would be limiting certain new features to certain devices as they have done in the past with Siri, Facetime and other exclusive applications. One of these limitations is that the 3D maps feature(probably the coolest new feature being added to Maps) is limited to iPhone4S, iPad2 and iPad3. A developer by the name of Anton Titkov aka iTony has released a new tweak called 3DEnabler which will allow you to enable 3D Maps on a 3Gs, 4 and iPod Touch 4G as well.
As we noted in our article on Redsn0w 0.9.13dev1, the current tethered iOS6 jailbreak for A4 devices and below does not install Cydia. Because of this there is no GUI method to installing this tweak.
DOWNLOAD:
3DEnabler - DEB
Step 1: Transfer the deb file from above to the folder private/var/temp on your device.
Step 2: Open a terminal window and connect to your devices IP address and run the following command:
apt-get update
Step 3: Now enter this command and type "y" when prompted:
apt-get -f install
Step 4: Next, enter the following command to download and install MobileSubstrate:
apt-get install mobilesubstrate
Step 5: Finally, enter this command to install the 3DEnabler tweak:
dpkg -i com.alpden.3denabler_1.0_iphoneos-arm.deb
That's all there is to it! Your iOS6 Maps app on your iOS 6 device will now have the "3D" option. The flyover turn-by-turn directions still do not work, but we are hopeful that iTony will be able to port those to unsupported devices as well!
