Pakistan vs. South Africa  Schedule Series 2013

Pakistan-South-Africa-CricketPakistan is touring South Africa in 2013 for playing complete cricket series which consist of 3 test match series, 2 twenty match series and 5 one day match series and this complete series will continue from 1 Feb to 24 Mar. This bilateral series is the part of the future Cricket programs prepared by the International Cricket Council (ICC). Pakistani team will move into series with confidence as they win test series over Kiwis while visitors will also move into series with confidence after their success in one day series against India in India recently. The tour will start with four day practice match in east London and after that first test match between Pakistan and South Africa will start on Friday, on 1 Feb at The wandered Stadium, Johannesburg at 10:30 local time. After the first test match second test start from Friday 14 Feb to Tue 18 Feb at Super Sport Park in Centurion. The third test match will play from Fri 22 Feb to Tue 26 Feb at Super Sport Park in Centurion. After the test series T20 series will start in which 2 T20 matches will be played at 1 Mar and 3 Mar. In the end, one day series will be played between Pakistan and South Africa which will start from 10 Mar to 24 Mar during which five one day matches will be played at different locations in South Africa. Among five days match second match is day & night which will play at Super Sport Park in Centurion at 14:30 according to local time.
Pakistani team will be led by the Misbah and the captain of South African team will be Smith. Both captains hoping that their team will fight well to win the series. As the South Africa is the number one team according to the ICC recent test match rankings while the Pakistani team can also improve their ranking position by winning the test series with 3-0 against South Africa. This would be a good contest between the two teams as both teams are playing good cricket from past few times. If we look at the squads of both teams then we will find that batting is the weak point of Pakistani team while they have a good bowling unit as recently according to team management request two fast bowlers Tanvir Ahmad and Rahat Ali have also been added to the squad. South Africa is also well balanced side so everyone that series will be played in good spirit.

Manchester United stayed in control of the English Premier League by beating Sunderland 3-1.

Manchester United stayed in control of the English Premier League by beating Sunderland 3-1 on Saturday, keeping Manchester City at arm s length following the champions  impressive win at Newcastle by the same scoreline.

Robin van Persie and Wayne Rooney United s in-form attacking partnership were both on target at Old Trafford to secure the team s fifth straight victory to remain six points clear.

City recovered from its agonizing derby loss to United last weekend by winning at St. James  Park, courtesy of goals by Sergio Aguero, Javi Garcia and Yaya Toure.

Liverpool s resurgence was ended with a 3-1 home loss to Aston Villa, Everton drew 1-1 at Stoke, and Queens Park Rangers climbed off the foot of the table by beating Fulham 2-1 for its first victory this season.

Monterrey takes 3rd place at Club World Cup

Monterrey takes 3rd place at Club World Cup

Monterrey defeated Al-Ahly of Egypt 2-0 to capture third place.

YOKOHAMA: Mexican side Monterrey took third place at the Club World Cup in Japan on Sunday, defeating African champions Al Ahly 2-0.

Goals from Jesus Corona goal and Cesar Delgado were enough to see the CONCACAF champions win, but it was far from plain sailing with the Egyptians seeing plenty of the ball and creating numerous goal-scoring opportunities.

Winger Corona opened the scoring on three minutes, easily tapping into an open goal after Al Ahly goalkeeper Mahmoud Abou Elseoud and defender Sayed Moawad had collided while both trying to clear the ball.

Striker Delgado almost made it 2-0 after 24 minutes with a sidefooted shot from inside the box but the ball sailed wide of Elseoud's left-hand post and out for a goal kick. It proved to be the last chance of the first 45 for the Mexicans, who lost to Chelsea 3-1 in the semi-finals, as Al Ahly surged forward looking for an equaliser.

Striker Emad Meteab was unlucky not to get it on the half-hour mark when his powerful header struck the post following a perfectly delivered in-swinging free kick.

Al Ahly were unfortunate not to go into the break level after twice forcing Monterrey into some last-ditch defending before forward Mohamed Aboutrika missed an easy header from the edge of the six-yard box with five minutes to go.

Shortly after the restart Aboutrika had another golden opportunity -- this time forcing Monterrey goalkeeper Jonathan Orozco into a splendid save with a firm shot from near the penalty spot.

The Cairo club pressed forward but the equaliser never came and on 66 minutes they were hit on the counterattack, Delgado breaking through Al Ahly's backline to chip the ball over an onrushing Elseoud and into the net.

Al Ahly continued to seek a way back into the match but there were no further goals at Yokohama's International Stadium and Monterrey finish the annual intercontinental tournament third, going some way to avenging last year's shock exit to Kashiwa Reysol at the quarter-final stage.

"We are very happy because this is our second Club World Cup and compared to last year we did better," Monterrey coach Victor Vucetich said. "We are able to get a medal and that's a very good thing for Mexico and CONCACAF."

Al Ahly coach Hossam El-Badry said: "I am very much disappointed. We wanted to be third. "We had many opportunities which we missed. If those opportunities had been taken then I think we would have been able to reverse the score."

Amir Khan stops Carlos Molina in comeback fight

Amir Khan stops Carlos Molina in comeback fight

Khan won every round on every judge's scorecard.

LOS ANGELES:
Amir Khan stopped Carlos Molina after 10 rounds on Saturday, beginning the British ex-champion's comeback from consecutive losses with a lopsided victory.

Khan (27-3, 19 KOs) used superior speed and power to batter the overmatched American in every round. Molina (17-1-1, 7 KOs) began bleeding from cuts in the middle rounds, and referee Jack Reiss stopped the bout on the advice of Molina's corner before the 11th.

Khan celebrated with new trainer Virgil Hunter, who replaced Freddie Roach in Khan's corner after losses to Lamont Peterson and Danny Garcia, who stopped the former light welterweight titleholder in July.

"I stuck to my game plan, which meant sticking to my jab," Khan said. "Carlos took some really good shots, and he was still coming forward, and that's when I thought to myself, 'I'd better stick to this game plan.'"

Khan won every round on every judge's scorecard while landing 312 of his 679 punches, including 56 percent of his power shots. Molina connected with only 87 total punches in 10 rounds.

Khan clearly was quicker and more physically imposing than his opponent from the opening bell, reddening Molina's face and pushing him back with shots too swift to dodge. Molina landed a few clean punches in the opening rounds, but they weren't fierce enough to test Khan's much-questioned chin.

Khan cut Molina near his right eye while unleashing multiple combinations in the fourth round. Molina wasn't mobile enough to fight at Khan's pace and level, and Khan steadily wore down his opponent until the finish.

Hunter, the mastermind of Andre Ward's career, has worked to instill a more thoughtful approach in Khan, saying the former British Olympic star had never been taught how to box. While Khan said he would still be an exciting fighter, he aimed to avoid brawls in favor of a complete game plan.

That plan was in evidence in every round against Molina, with Khan resisting the urge to brawl whenever Molina presented the opportunity.

"Virgil is a great trainer, and I'm getting better at boxing and at being a complete fighter," Khan said. "He's teaching me boxing, speed, patience, and picking the right shot and when to throw it. Sometimes I'm too brave for my own good, but now I know it's better to stick to the game plan."

Molina was born and raised in the Los Angeles area, and the little-known fighter was the hometown crowd's favorite
but a vocal section of British and Pakistani fans was much happier to see the new-look Khan's workmanlike, smart performance after his recent setbacks.

Garcia floored Khan three times on the way to a fourth-round stoppage five months ago, claiming Khan's WBC and WBA light welter belts.

On the undercard, Mexican Leo Santa Cruz defended his IBF bantamweight title with a unanimous decision over compatriot Alberto Guevara.

Aussies strike after Hussey-led declaration

Aussies strike after Hussey-led declaration

Clarke's call was backed by his bowlers who captured important wickets.

HOBART: Four Sri Lankan wickets rewarded a Mike Hussey-induced declaration to have Australia in a powerful position after the second day of the first Hobart Test on Saturday.

Veteran Hussey's fifth century in six Tests against Sri Lanka enabled skipper Michael Clarke to call a halt to Australia's first innings at 450 for five off 131 overs, some 30 minutes before tea on a rain-interrupted day.

Clarke's call was backed by his bowlers who captured the wickets of Dimuth Karunaratne and the prized scalps of Kumar Sangakkara, Mahela Jayawardene and Thilan Samaraweera in the final session.

At the close, Sri Lanka were 87 for four with Tillakaratne Dilshan not out 50 with Samaraweera out in day's final over.

Dilshan reached his 50 off 82 balls when he hooked Shane Watson for four in the penultimate over of the day.

Evergreen Hussey continued to flourish this southern summer with an unbeaten 115 for his 19th Test century and third in the last month to share in a 146-run stand with wicketkeeper Matthew Wade (68).

In his six Tests against Sri Lanka, Hussey has scored five centuries at 109.62.

Hussey, batting better than ever at the age of 37, audaciously raised his hundred with a pull off Shaminda Eranga.

Angelo Mathews looked set to take the catch on the mid-wicket boundary ropes but fumbled the chance, allowing the ball to bounce over for four to bring up Hussey's 100.

Hussey's knock came off 184 balls with eight fours and a six.

Wade, who had a life on 20 when he was dropped by fielding substitute Suraj Randiv at mid-wicket off Chanaka Welegedara nearing lunch, raised his second Test half-century.

Clarke was the only Australian wicket to fall out in the day's third over when he edged Eranga to Sangakkara low down at first slip.

The Australian skipper's 74 off 145 balls took his tally to 1,432 runs this calendar year at 102.28 with a possibility of three more Test innings to come before year's end.

Clarke had been on track for his fifth century of 2012, three of them double-centuries, along with his Test highest score of 329 not out against India in Sydney last January.

Sri Lanka began boldly but rookie opener Karunaratne was out for 14 in the 10th over when he nibbled at Ben Hilfenhaus and was snapped up by Wade.

The Australians struck two killer blows late in the day with the key wickets of Sangakkara and Jayawardene.

Sangakkara, who scored 192 in his previous Test innings at Hobart five years ago, went cheaply for four when he sliced Peter Siddle to Hussey's safe hands in the gully to leave the Sri Lankans at 42 for two.

It got worse for the tourists when Watson trapped Jayawardene leg before wicket for 12 in the 23rd over.

Jayawardene, who is relinquishing the team captaincy after the Australian tour, referred the decision to the TV umpire, who upheld the umpire's verdict.

Samaraweera was out in the final over when he was surprised by spinner Nathan Lyon's extra bounce and was caught behind for seven.

The signs were not looking good for Sri Lanka, who were chasing their first Test win in Australia at 11 attempts.

Play was extended after a total of 130 minutes were lost to rain in two delays during the day.

میچ شروع ہونے سے گھنٹوں قبل رضاکارانہ پاکستانی شکست کی خبر عام ہوچکی تھی

پاکستان آسٹریلیا کل شارجہ میں آمنے سامنے Pakistan and Austrilia Will face to face Tomorrow

Cell phone plans, choose the best deal

Cell phone plans, choose the best deal

Cell phone has evolved to be one of the most important part of life. Most businesses require their officers to have a cell phone. Even individuals need cell phones in going about their daily lives. This is why acquiring this important gadget require intelligence to avoid inappropriate expense. Finding the most reasonable cell phone plan is one requirement in choosing cell phones intelligently. Because of the very large number of network services in this country, it may help you to research and assess their offers before deciding on a cell phone plan.
Before you decide to buy a cell phone, you may want to decide first whether you want a prepaid cell phone service or a traditional cell phone plan. If you decide on a prepaid cell phone service, then no problem, no credit check, you just need to pay outright and immediately you have your phone. Some cell phone companies even offer free cellular phone unit when you acquire a prepaid cell phone service from them. However, when you want a cell phone plan, you may need to choose from a by minute charging or by the second charging. Both charging process have positive and negative points. You need to assess your usage frequency and requirements before you decide on a cell phone plan. You may research on the performance like if they have enough towers to reach you wherever you are. There are different cell phone plans for family and national use. There are also cell phone plans for regional use. All of these have their own benefits although there are also their disadvantages. For prepaid cell phone plans, there are cell phone units that may not have the capability for this connection.
Other cell phone plans like family plans, this is advantageous for family use and small businesses. There is free access for emergencies. In addition, for family plans, it is cheaper to call the other cell phones included in one billing. There are also discounts for the airtime usage of family members using this cell phone plan. For national plans, this cell phone plan includes free long-distance charges. There are no roaming charges for this cell phone plan and it is another advantage. For regional use, this cell phone plan may require you to pay long-distance charges but the airtime rates may be cheaper.
Cell phone plans may be beneficial is you can acquire the once that have the benefits you need. The manner of usage is an essential requirement, if you do not need it as much and just for emergencies, prepaid cell phone plan could suit you well than traditional plans where you need to sign a contract with the service provider.
Prepaid cell phone plans are often preferred; however, for travelers the traditional plan with no roaming charges and no long-distance charges might be best.
All of this notwithstanding, in order to make full and effective use of your cell phone, you may want to set some guidelines in your usage. If you want your cell phone for your business, you may need to make sure you turn it off when you need privacy. Being available every time may not do well for you. Reserve sometime for yourself and never allow people to disturb you during this time. If your business partners know they could reach you even late at night and on weekends, they will be annoyed if you suddenly change this behavior. Having a cell phone and being available all the time may not be healthy, thus, you have to be wary not to allow people disturb you when you need to be alone with or without your cell phone.

Achieve the impossible this summer: Set yourself a (fluent in?) 3 month challenge! #Fi3M

Wondering what my mission will be this summer? Make sure to follow me on Facebook, twitter and Google+ to find out within a few days!
——–
The summer has begun (at least in the northern hemisphere), so what do you want to have achieved by September? If you want to make serious progress in your target language, then I suggest you take the #Fi3M challenge that I’m proposing for people this summer!
In this post, I’ll outline a few of the specifics of what helps me make so much progress in such a short time, and hopefully get you set on the path to get busy with your own challenge!
Le’s get serious about a real result by September! Who’s with me?? It’s time to achieve the impossible!
I have plenty of techniques and my own system of learning a language intensively, but some crucial differences between my language learning challenges and that of the Average Frustrated Learner include the following aspects of a “mission” that I’d highly suggest you incorporate yourself:

Specific deadline

Thanks to my very specific deadline, I have to force myself to do as much as possible by that time.
The problem with a deadline of one year or something along those lines is Parkinson’s law that work expands to fill the time allotted to it. Without any pressure you will simply learn too slowly.
I say set a deadline that is ONE, TWO or THREE months from now and work your ass off until then.

Absolute priority

I’m not trying to learn a language while also training to run a marathon and becoming a chess master and working on getting a job promotion and planning a wedding and writing an autobiography and quitting smoking and dramatically changing my diet etc. etc. all simultaneously.
Each one of these projects is an immense task in itself and definitely requires your focus. Don’t do too many things at once; it’s best to have 30-day (or in my case, 90-day) challenges with one key aspect of your life you want to work on. If you spread yourself too thin, you won’t achieve any of the many big challenges you set yourself. It may seem more efficient to do them all at once, but if you pace yourself and have one major goal that you focus on at a time, then after a few successive challenges you can change your entire life!
I especially like how Leo Babauta from the website zenhabits, has made a huge number of important and incredible positive changes to his life. The way he did it was to focus on each challenge one at a time, and make that his priority. After that it stuck for when he was focused on another challenge.
Focus just on your language learning project if you are serious about it, or focus on the other priority instead first so that you have less distractions when it’s time to learn the language.

Very specific end goal

Another important aspect of my missions is that I’m specific about what I aim for, and it tends to be the most controversial aspect of this site that drives so many people crazy.
And I mean it. Be VERY specific. None of this “learn Spanish” nonsense. Aim for conversational, (precisely defined) fluency, read a novel only consulting a dictionary twice per page, being able to hold up a telephone conversation, whatever it may be. But aim for that and always have it in mind and make sure it’s ambitious!
Aiming safely within your limits is for SISSIES – I say be ambitious and push yourself to the max. “Failure” should always be an option; it’s the only way to achieve something great. If it were a sure thing then it wouldn’t be a challenge.
One thing I happen to like, is to scope my levels based on the Common European Framework of References for Languages, that I discussed here. If it helps motivate you, you can sign up for an exam if a testing institute will be accessible for you in a few months, and a language qualification is something you care for.
For Chinese, I aimed for spoken level C1 [advanced] (which I still think is possible in a short time, if I were to eliminate the mistakes I made), and in the end I have ended up with a spoken level B1 (lower intermediate) instead. If I aimed for this level from the start, I would have seen it in sight much sooner and eased off, rather than have 3 months of painful, but productive, work, and I ultimately would have gotten lower.
There is no pass or fail in the non-academic world when it comes to a means of communication (that’s what a language is, not a list of grammar rules and vocabulary), when you truly push yourself there are only various degrees of success. The only true way you can fail is if you are not pushing yourself to your limit.
But what should you aim for? It depends on the time that you can invest in the project; i.e. if you can do it for a large chunk of your day (40+ hours per week) over 3 months, then I’d personally recommend pushing yourself to a very high limit, such as: (see this Wikipedia article to understand what these terms represent)
Starting Level 0 A1 A2 B1 B2 C1
Target Level B2/C1 C1 C1/C2 C2 C2+ Sound like a native
On the other hand, if you have up to 20 hours per week you can invest in it then the table below could be a good guide.
This is a pitiful less than three hours per day, which is a minimum for something that you should be serious about, so I’ll hear none of these excuses that you have no time. MAKE TIME! Stop watching TV or clicking away on Facebook for hours on end, and make sacrifices.
There’s a huge difference between “working hard” and changing your lifestyle entirely such that the project takes over every free moment, including chances to socialise and relax in your mother tongue.
If you have the time to read my ridiculously long blog posts, then you DEFINITELY have three hours per day that you could dig out and use more efficiently ;)
In that case, aim to go up at least one, preferably two levels, along these lines:
Starting Level 0 A1 A2 B1 B2 C1
Target Level A2/B1 B1/B2 B2 B2/C1 C1 C2
If you are wondering how you should change this based on how hard your target language is, then you are wasting precious time. EVERY language is hard, and every language is easy depending on how you look at it. Get over it and get busy!
If you think you have any kind of advantage, like knowing a similar language, then the only thing you should do is adjust my suggestions to be more adventurous.
Don’t play it safe. Many excuses can creep in until you’ve reduced your challenge to a minor hop.
The rule is simple: aim higher than you probably should. If you spend any time pondering over silly irrelevant details, then that’s time taken away from actually making progress in the language.
This is how I do it. I aim as high as I do because that ridiculously high target forces me to improve at a rate that allows for wallowing around plateaus to simply not be an option.

Public accountability

One of the other huge pushes that help me a lot is that I announce my mission to the world (and since my site’s audience is always growing, that’s even more mounting accountability with each mission!)
Note that this accountability can be just as effective when a few hundred eyes are on you. Starting a blog is great way to do this, although getting more than a few dozen people to read it over your first few months can be quite hard. Luckily now I have a much better option for you!
Go to the Fluent in 3 months forums, which now has over 7,000 members with many active posters, who are incredibly supportive and helpful. You may run into some problems in your project, and you can rest assured that someone in the community will step in and give you some advice! Many readers have read most of my blog or Language Hacking Guide and are fully aware of what I’d say, since I can’t reply to most posts myself, and many times have their own wisdom to throw in based on much more relevant experience than I may have.
After you’ve created an account (click Register if you haven’t one already), go to the section of the forum which is there specifically for announcing your language mission, and write your background, motivation and specific goals.
This way the entire Fi3M community can check it out and join along with you on your quest! Learning a language with a community to support you is very different to doing it alone!
You can embed video updates (which I’d highly recommend making throughout your mission if it has a spoken focus), and otherwise edit your posts on an advanced forum platform (many other active language learning forums I am aware of use outdated, cumbersome and non-user-friendly forum technology).
As well as regularly updating your mission page, make sure to search the forum for people with missions similar to yours or discussions about your target language, because there may have been a relevant list of resources or steps to take shared.
On the same forum you can get in touch with native speakers for a language exchange, and when logged in you will see a bar at the bottom of the screen which lets you chat to other Fi3M visitors also logged in. This bar has advanced capabilities that include live type chat, video/audio chat, games, language specific group chats, mobile support etc.
Make your language learning mission interactive and do it along with a community of others also with their own challenges!

X in 3 months? Get started!

The point of the title of this site isn’t that I have a secret formula for fluency in 3 months, but that I challenge myself to get fluent in 3 months, or some other very specific target in the same spirit. This is what I hope many of you will get into yourselves! The reason it can “take years” to learn a language is not because it has to, but because you are not doing it intensively.
It’s the hours that truly matter, not the years.
If you set aside those three (or ideally, much more) hours per day this summer to really dive into your project, then you will make huge strides ahead!
Your challenge doesn’t have to be fluent in 3 months, and it doesn’t even have to be 3 months. Make it 2, or 6 – whatever you know is a short enough timespan to be something you see on the immediate horizon, and make your goal HIGH and ambitious. Try your damnedest to get it all the way to the end, remembering all those you promised that you would!
And if after those three months, you are “only” 80% successful, well then won’t that be something to be pretty damn proud of too! You’ll have definitely jumped up a level in your target language! The only way you can truly fail your mission is if you did not pour your heart and soul into it.
So, who is up for the #Fi3M challenge this summer? Let’s see your missions on the forums, or if you blog elsewhere let us know where you’ll be writing about it in the comments. I’m looking forward to seeing what you can come up with by September!

"I believe the status of young people who come here through no fault their own is an important matter to be considered and should be solved on a long-term basis so they know what their future would be in this country," Romney told reporters. "I think the action of the president today makes it more difficult to reach that long-term solution because an executive order is of course, a short-term matter and can be reversed by subsequent presidents." His remarks were less vitriolic than many of those made by Republicans, who have decried the policy change as "amnesty" and a magnet for unauthorized immigration. Romney took the same moderate tack as Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.), expressing sympathy for undocumented immigrants who came to the country as children, but still disagreeing with the Obama administration's action. "I'd like to see legislation that deals with this issue, and I happen to agree with Marco Rubio," Romney said. "If I'm president, we'll do our very best to have that kind of solution." The policy change is not an executive order, but rather a memo from the Department of Homeland Security to its agencies. Still, Romney is correct that it could be overturned by a future president, meaning his failure to address whether he would change the policy leaves a large, open question. Romney has said he would consider supporting yet-to-be-introduced legislation from Rubio that deals with undocumented immigrants in a somewhat similar way to the president's announced policy. The Rubio "Dream Act" -- essentially a weakened version of the decade-old Dream Act supported largely by Democrats -- would allow some undocumented young people to stay in the United States, but with no path to citizenship. The policy change from DHS would similarly grant reprieve from deportation, but not put those eligible in a special line for citizenship. The full Dream Act, which held bipartisan support when first introduced, would allow some undocumented young people to become legal permanent residents and then citizens, if they met certain requirements. Romney said in December he would veto such legislation if it came to his desk as president. Romney has since backed down from hardline statements on immigration, such as urging the undocumented to "self-deport," and recently avoided talking about the Dream Act in a speech on education to a largely-Latino audience. Latino voters -- a highly important group for the 2012 election -- support the Dream Act by large margins, and most prefer the Democratic plan to the broad outline proposed by Rubio. Rubio said in a statement earlier in the day that the administration is "once again ignoring the Constitution and going around Congress." "There is broad support for the idea that we should figure out a way to help kids who are undocumented through no fault of their own, but there is also broad consensus that it should be done in a way that does not encourage illegal immigration in the future," Rubio said in a statement. "This is a difficult balance to strike, one that this new policy, imposed by executive order, will make harder to achieve in the long run." UPDATE: The Obama campaign responded to Romney's remarks on Friday, pointing out that the former Massachusetts governor previously said he would veto the Dream Act and has opposed providing legal status to undocumented immigrants. "His 'solution' to our immigration challenges was self-deportation," campaign spokesman Ben LaBolt said in a statement. "Today he continues to refuse to express support for legislation that lets children who were brought to the U.S. and want to contribute by pursuing higher education or serve in the military stay in America." Mitt Romney Immigration
Presumptive Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney declined Friday to address a question of whether he would reverse President Barack Obama's decision to end deportations of some young undocumented immigrants.

My choice of captain would be me, says Dhoni
Baramulla (Kashmir): India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni refused to speculate on who can be his successor as it's not in his hands but given a choice he would choose himself for the top job. Responding to a question on his successor, Dhoni said he would not like to name anyone in particular as it was not for him to decide.

Sehwag was deputy to Dhoni for a long time before his opening partner and Delhi teammate Gambhir was appointed as the vice-captain of the team. But Sehwag was made stop gap captain when Dhoni was rested from ODI series against West Indies.
However, following series of good performances Down Under Kohli was named as the vice-captain of the team for Asia Cup played in Bangladesh earlier this year.

Pakistan beat Sri Lanka to square T20 series

Hambantota (Sri Lanka): Pakistan defeated Sri Lanka by 23 runs in the second and final Twenty20 international in Hambantota on Sunday to level the series 1-1.
Sri Lanka, who won the opening match by 37 runs on Friday, were bowled out for 99 after restricting Pakistan to 122 for 6. Shahid Afridi was the star of Pakistan's win, smashing a 33-ball 52 not out and then taking two wickets with his leg-spin.

Pakistan were struggling at 41 for 4 before allrounder Afridi steadied the innings with a 68-run stand for the fifth wicket with Shoaib Malik, who hit three successive fours off leg-spinner Kaushal Lokuarachchi in his 26-ball 27.
Afridi, who on Sunday became the first player to appear in 50 T20 internationals, hit one six and five fours in his fourth half-century.
Lokuarachchi bagged two of the first four wickets to reduce Pakistan to 41 for 4, removing skipper Mohammad Hafeez (24) and Umar Akmal (5) in his four-over spell. Paceman Nuwan Kulasekera was the most impressive bowler, finishing with 2 for 13 off four tight overs.
Sri Lanka, who lead the series 1-0 following their 37-run victory in the opening match on Friday, rested skipper Mahela Jayawardene and paceman Lasith Malinga and brought in Isuru Udana and Chamara Kapugedera.
Allrounder Angelo Mathews led the hosts. Pakistan made one change, replacing Umar Gul with Yasir Arafat.
