How to change Beejive's chat bubbles with SMS/Text messaging iPhone themed bubbles.

Ever want to use the themed chat bubble from SMS? The theme developers completely ignore Beejive..its not as widely used.....WELL NEVER AGAIN ! I will teach you how to use the SMS bubbles for SMS, on BEEJIVE!

In my demonstration, I will use themes named
beejive_bubbles.theme (this is the theme you will be making)
and
SMS_balloons.theme (this represents a theme that you have already downloaded)

There is a theme in Cydia, Illumine Chat Bubbles..this is where I got my idea and the knowledge of locations..

So, now then, SSH your iDevice to the location..
(mine is r0Hoie.. yours should be different :))
/var/stash/Themes.xxxxx/

Make a directory here to use as your theme for beejive bubbles.. (ie, beejive_bubbles.theme)

Inside of this folder, make another folder named as follows: Bundles ..
Make a folder inside of Bundles labeled as follows: com.beejive.BeejiveIM

You should now have var/stash/Themes.xxxxx/beejive_bubbles.theme/Bundles/com.beejive.BeejiveIM/

Now navigate to the theme that holds the bubbles you want. As mentioned earlier, mine will be..
SMS_balloons.theme

I have found 2 locations that the bubbles could be (however there may be more).. Here are the locations I have found

/Folders/ChatKit.framework
AND
/Bundles/com.apple.chatkit

So depending on the theme, your bubbles may be located in either directory (and possibly another directory that I have no knowledge of).

Navigate to either of the two previously stated directories in the theme.
The only files you care about are the
Balloon_1.png and Balloon_2.png (note that the may be alternative balloons.. )
Copy and paste these files onto your desktop for easy access..

NOTE! If your are using an iPhone and you don't copy and paste the files (meaning you drag and drop), depending how your SSH is set up, your files will be removed from the SMS location and will no longer work on your theme....... because they will not be in that location anymore.

NOw then, navigate back to your previously made..
var/stash/Themes.xxxxx/beejive_bubbles.theme/Bundles/com.beejive.BeejiveIM/

Move the two .png files from your desktop into that location.

SOrry, you aren't done. This is vital. What color bubbles do you use in beejive? I use purple as my incoming, and blue as my outgoing. I will use purple and blue in my next demonstration.. Replace purple and blue with whatever colors you use that correspond to my text in the next process..
The possible colors are as follows:
blue
gray
green
orange
pink
purple
yellow

Knowing this, THERE IS NO WHITE! They are spelled exactly as previously shown.

So, rename the two .png files you put into your newly made folder to correspond to your color

balloon_purple.png
balloon_blue.png
balloon_yellow.png
balloon_pink.png
balloon_green.png
balloon_orange.png
balloon_gray.png

So mine would be..
balloon_purple.png
AND
balloon_blue.png

That is it.. Apply the theme in Winterboard, respring, and enjoy!

Please note, if you change your bubble colors in settings once the theme is applied, it will "un-apply" it.

Any questions? Leave a comment. I'll do my best to make it as easy as possible. Hope it helped!
